Like our birth announcements, our holiday cards are custom created invitations that will show off your creativity with a clear and unique card. Creating a holiday card is a four step process that involves picking out a card template from our selection � this can be customized, as well � and including any pictures of your family. Holiday cards traditionally have included a picture of your family or children inside but, now, with digital photography, adding a picture of your loved ones is easier. At Vanilla Print, whether you�re trying to create a birth announcement, a holiday card, or even a Christmas birth announcement, all of the pictures you would like included in the card can be sent to us by email. Holiday card pictures are typically posed, although often photographs of your baby or children are best in natural positions. Once we receive the photographs and know which template you would like to use, the photographs for your holiday card can be altered, so that a colored picture can become black and white or sepia toned for an antique look. Other options to alter your photos include color tinting, which is a popular option for our birth announcements.
As birth announcements are Vanilla Print�s specialty, combining birth announcements and a holiday card is also a possibility. When you�re expecting a baby near Christmas, sending out a Christmas photo birth announcement is acceptable instead of separate holiday cards and birth announcements. While most of our birth announcement templates are specific baby boy or girl birth announcement designs, our Christmas holiday card templates can double as a design for a Christmas photo birth announcement. The important parts of birth announcements are the wording and pictures of your baby. After choosing a few pictures of your new baby, choose wording for the announcement, which, like all birth announcements, should include the baby�s full name, birth date, weight, length, and names of parents. The wording in the opening lines of the birth announcement can be Christmas themed, although the template in a Christmas photo birth announcement can tie the birth announcement and holiday card together with a similar theme.
